Just came from traveling to Pai for the first time. I very much recommend it. (Also, I recommend renting a car to travel around Thailand. So worth the freedom and choices.) Besides the chill town - though quite crowded by Thai tourists - the surroundings are magnificent. Waterfalls, caves and hot springs. Don't waste your time and money at the hot spring resorts the only true HOT springs are in the national park. Besides driving around we loved biking through the country side. We stayed at a super chill place called Natural Mystic. I won't be there but coming up is their annual Reggae Festival this month. www.paifestival.com Dance for us....
